JANUARY, 2019 NEWSLETTER FROM THE NUTCRACKER MUSEUM

Going on the Nutcracker Lady’s Nutcracker Hunt (the museum’s version of a scavenger hunt) is not just for kids!!! More and more adults are joining in the fun---and they are not just looking for Mickey Mouse!

While a preschooler is looking for a Teddy Bear, adults will be searching shelf after shelf for a Bear on a Limb.

First grade students will look for a Monkey, and there are many of them, but the adults will search specifically for a Monkey in a Top Hat.

Children will pick a Cook for their list, but the adults will try to find Richard Glasser’s Sushi Chef.

Little ones laugh when they find the Man with Long Nose, and the adults will congratulate themselves for finally finding the Bird Biting a Man’s Nose.

Children are not frightened when they find an 8 inch Beetle, and they wonder why some of the older adults burst into song when they find The Four Beatles.

With many nutcrackers with musical instruments in the museum,  juniors  easily find a Man with Guitar, but it is not so easy for the adults to find a Russian with Balalaika.

One children’s lists has Hunter with Dog, and that hunter is probably looking for a duck, but the adults see that the table is turned when they find a Duck Going Hunting.

There are a total of 22 different hunts for ages 3 to 93 with 6 of them for teen though adult years.  So next time you are in Leavenworth, bring the whole family in to the museum and enjoy the hunt.  We even have simple prizes for completion.
