Along
with playing in the snow or visiting the Reindeer Farm, The Nutcracker Hunt at
the Nutcracker Museum is one of the most popular activities for children in
Leavenworth!
The Nutcracker Lady has created many variations of the hunt
designed for each age group, and armed with a list of nutcrackers, a clip board
and pencil, the students roam the aisles looking for those on their lists.
While the littlest ones have a sheet with pictures such as Mickey Mouse, a
Teddy Bear or an Elephant, the hunts get a little more difficult with each
age group, and teens will be looking for a Nutcracker on a Matchstick, an
Ivory Gnome with Ladybug, a Man in the Moon, a Monkey in a Top Hat or a
Prehistoric Nutting Stone.
Dogs that are able to be carried at all times may come into the museum.
Service animals are
always welcome.
