It has been a long time since we posted new pictures, but here are some treasures that you are sure to enjoy!!

First we show a Napoleon screw nutcracker from France, circa 1820.  Beautiful detailing is shown in the carving.

Next we have a Praying Monk from Italy, circa 1870.  It is of hammerwood, and has a beautiful golden glow.

Next we show an elegant 19th century Ivory Screw, from France or Switzerland. We have several similar nutcrackers in wood, but this is the first we have seen in ivory.

Next is a carved nutcracker in the shape of a Chinese.  His pigtail is the lever to be used for cracking the nut. Believed to be from Switzerland or France, late 19th C.

Last we show a French Gunmental Screw cage.  This is similar to those shown in the ironworks museum in Rouen, France.  It is from the 17th century and very rare.
