Introducing Leavenworth's Chainsaw Woody | |
A 15 foot stump was saved when a damaged tree was cut down in the city park. First the bark was removed, then a Bavarian hat appeared!! |
Now we know it is Woody, Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce, that will be seen across the street from the Nutcracker Museum. |
Continuing his work through days of rain and snow, the talented chainsaw artist Jacob Lucas Woody is now nearly finished. |
Adding a little paint as a finishing touch, Woody will soon be ready to be photographed by the many visitors who come to Leavenworth. |
So here he is--a gift from the City of Leavenworth, introduced to the public at Christmas Lighting Festival, December 12, 2015.Carved by Jacob Lucas

Dogs that are able to be carried at all times may come into the museum
